Summary:

This Sunday is the third Sunday in Advent and that means we light the pink candle–or the rose candle–of the Advent wreath. It represents Joy. So fitting that we talk about joy this time of year because Christmas is all about joy–the joy of His coming into the world. We're going to look at the good news of great joy that came to the Shepherds that night outside of Bethlehem. It's proper that we take the time to re-orient our minds to this idea of joy. Because ultimately Christmas joy does not come from the gifts or the lights or the food or even good times with family and friends. True Christmas Joy comes from the good news that Jesus was born–our Savior came. it's astonishingly good news.
