Passage: The Gospel According to Matthew Matthew 9:35-38

Preacher: Rob Holster

Summary:

For the past couple of weeks, we have focused our hearts on God's mission to reach the world with the hope of the gospel. We've heard from some of our missionaries and it's been a meaningful time of learning, praying, and considering how each of us can take part in what God is doing both near and far. This Sunday, I invite you to join us as we conclude our Missions emphasis with a message from Matthew 9:35–38, where Jesus looks upon the crowds with compassion and says: "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest." As we gather, we'll reflect on Christ's compassion for people––how he saw them as sheep without a shepherd––which is how we should see people. We'll also look at His call to pray, and His invitation for us to participate in His mission. Whether you have been with us throughout this series or this would be your first visit, you are welcome. We would love to worship with you and encourage you through God's Word. We hope you'll join us this Sunday at 9:00 or 10:45 as we celebrate what God has taught us and look ahead to how He may be calling each of us to serve in His harvest.
